Book Review on Notebook Mysteries by Kimberly Mullins

Title: Notebook Mysteries

Author: Kimberly Mullins

Genre: Thriller, Historical Mystery

Audience: Young Adult

This young adult mystery is not my usual romance read, but I was asked to read an ARC. This story was such a fun adventure, I'm glad I read it.

A bit of 1871-1881 Chicago history wrapped around a smart female lead character, 16-year-old Emma Evans, who solves the town's many mysteries. This young, sweet girl uses knives and self-defense lessons to keep herself protected against those who don't want her figuring out their crimes.

Plus the added recipes sound yummy and gave the story a tie to my world. Reminded me of the Nancy Drew stories my sisters loved to read.
